This family-owned restaurant and bar in Harwich Port is marking its 26th anniversary on the Cape, and over the course of that time, it has become a favorite hangout for Cape Cod locals, including us. It has a large dining area on one side and an expansive bar area on the other. In between is a medium-sized stage and dance floor that is well used by bands, DJs, patrons, and trivia and karaoke hosts–there’s always something fun going on at Jake’s! As for the food, the menu options are extensive here, ranging from salads and burgers to fajitas, pasta dishes, pizza, prime rib, and more. These traditional options are complemented by several Stonegrill entrees, in which your meal is presented to you cooking on a super-heated volcanic stone. This method of cooking is said to sear in the natural juices and nutrients to enhance the flavor of your meal. It’s a dining experience you just have to try!

The Loft Restaurant & Bar

Located on the second floor of The Cove Resort in Yarmouth, The Loft is our favorite place to go for a night of dancing. Every Friday and Saturday night you’ll find great bands there who know how to get an audience up on their feet, and the large dance floor provides plenty of room for people to shake and shimmy the night away. It is no surprise to us that The Loft has earned the Community Choice Award as “Cape Cod’s Best Place to Dance” for three years in a row, 2023-2025. Live entertainment is also available on Sunday evenings, and in the summer and fall the live music schedule expands to include Wednesday and Thursday evenings. A huge bar surrounded by high-top tables serves up delicious craft cocktails and a full complement of beer and wine, and the large dining area can accommodate small and large groups for meals or appetizers; the dining area is also a favorite spot for those throwing special gatherings, like birthday, retirement, and anniversary parties. The menu offers something for everyone, and in our experience the food has always been superbly prepared by the chef and their team and served by friendly and attentive staff. In the summer, an outdoor area near the resort’s pool, called The Loft Shack, offers smaller plates. drinks, and music 7 days a week, from late afternoon into the evening.
